Understanding CDCP Coverage
Coverage under the Canadian Dental Care Plan is based on your adjusted family net income as determined by your most recent income tax return.
| Adjusted Family Net Income | CDCP Covers | You Cover (Co-payment) |
|---|---|---|
| Under $70,000 | 100% of eligible services at CDCP rates | 0% (you may still face additional fees) |
| $70,000 – $79,999 | 60% of eligible services at CDCP rates | 40% of CDCP rates |
| $80,000 – $89,999 | 40% of eligible services at CDCP rates | 60% of CDCP rates |
Note: Westmount Dental Office follows the Ontario Dental Association Suggested Fee Guide. If treatment fees exceed the CDCP fee schedule or if a procedure is not fully covered by the program, patients may be responsible for any remaining balance. Our team will review your estimated coverage and discuss any expected out of pocket costs before treatment begins.
What Treatments May be Covered?
Many preventive and restorative dental treatments may be covered under the Canadian Dental Care Plan. Coverage varies based on your individual eligibility and may require preauthorization for certain procedures. Our team is happy to review your benefits before treatment begins.
